Could you be a suicide bereavement support volunteer? – Wellington Events

Suicide has many hidden impacts, particularly for those it leaves behind. Every loss sends a ripple of grief and shock through a family, school or workplace, and community.

That’s why Victim Support’s trained volunteers provide practical help and emotional support for over 3000 people a year affected by suicide all around New Zealand.

We’re looking for compassionate people and good communicators who are prepared to give up some of their time to help people struggling after witnessing or losing a loved one to suicide.

You don’t have to be a trained social worker or counsellor to volunteer. We’ll provide comprehensive training, fully-funded by Victim Support, and ongoing support and coaching from a suicide bereavement specialist employed by Victim Support.

Join us at an information evening or contact us to find out more!
