Our Contact Service Workers serve as the first point of contact, providing compassionate and efficient support 24/7 on a regularly updated roster, based in Wellington’s Police National Headquarters.
You'll need to welcome diversity, demonstrate excellent phone etiquette, and manage high call volumes while maintaining sound judgment. This critical role allows you to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, connecting them with the resources and assistance they need to begin their journey of recovery.
As a Support Worker, you’ll be passionate about our mission: to support and empower victims, ensuring their safety, providing information, and advocating for their participation at every step of their journey.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with those who have asked for help, ensuring their needs are understood and met while offering them emotional support and access to essential services and resources.
Team Leaders work closely with District Managers to ensure we provide quality services to victims of crime and traumatic events by applying a focused approach to case management and ensuring the right people, resources and relationships are in place.
You'll ensure delivery of high-quality consistent services by selecting, training, and coordinating assigned Support Workers and volunteers, and other Victim Support people within the area as required.
