Support to help you through the justice system

The justice system can be complicated. Our Support Workers are here to offer support, information, and assistance.

We can support you if:

  • you need someone to talk with about what you’re going through

  • you would like someone to support you when you attend court

  • you need to be interviewed as a witness

  • you need help to prepare a Victim Impact Statement

  • you need to prepare for a Parole Board hearing

  • you’re going through a restorative justice process

  • you would like someone to go through a post mortem report or coroner’s finding report with you

If you are a victim of a very serious crime, you may also be eligible for financial assistance from Victim Support under the Victim Assistance Scheme.

If you are a victim going through court, you will have access to a Court Victim Advisor. A Court Victim Advisor is an officer of the court who is there to keep you informed about your case. Your Court Victim Advisor can help to answer any questions you have about going to court and the court process.

Ask your Support Worker about anything you need or want to know about or you can call us 24/7 on 0800 842 846 to be connected with a Support Worker.
